Porsche 991.2 Targa 4S “Exclusive Design Edition”

The Porsche 991.2 Targa 4S Exclusive Design Edition is one of the most distinctive and least common versions of the second-generation 991.

Presented in 2016 by Porsche Exclusive, it was produced in just 100 examples, all built in the same specification. The idea was not to create a more extreme version of the Targa 4S, but rather to show how far Porsche Exclusive could go in terms of materials, colours and detailing while keeping the car completely coherent with the original model.

Its most recognisable feature is of course the PTS Etna Blue paintwork, a historic Porsche colour already used in the 1960s. Every car was delivered in this colour, combined with a fully leather-trimmed blue interior and a long list of specific details created by the Exclusive department.

Many elements that would normally have been finished in contrasting colours were also painted or specially finished for this edition, giving the car a very consistent and immediately recognisable appearance without making it excessive.

The interior is one of the most interesting aspects of the car. Extended leather, dedicated stitching, Exclusive details and a number of components developed specifically for this edition clearly set it apart from a standard Targa 4S.

Mechanically, it remains a 991.2 Targa 4S, with the 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat-six producing 420 hp, four-wheel drive and all the usability of the Targa, but combined with a specification Porsche chose to produce in only one hundred examples.

Our example is one of the very few originally delivered in France and has remained with its first and only owner since new. With just 6,800 km, the car presents today in genuinely near-new condition.

It is one of the more interesting 991.2 variants for those looking for something special without necessarily moving into the GT range. Its rarity comes not from extreme technical modifications, but from its limited production, unique specification and the level of factory personalisation carried out directly by Porsche Exclusive.
